These are the experiments of the Pacific Alumni Craft Talk Team.

Our mission: to amplify Pacific University MFA alumni voices.

In October 2024, we launched our first episode as a scrappy crew of six poets, nonfiction, and fiction writers. We curated monthly interviews dedicated to craft deep dives and the published work of our peers. Now, as we approach Season 2, we’re expanding into new territories, welcoming new team members, and publishing monthly contributions from MFA alumni stakeholders:

  • Monthly Log Entries from the Literary Lurker

by Matthew Kasper

  • Odes to the Arts of Craft

    by Kate Wylie

  • Roundtable, a Video Podcast

    hosted by Ben Porter

  • On the Phone – Calls from the Other Side of Graduation

    with Atina Hartunian

  • Pub Drawl – Pending Alumni publications, Opportunities, Compiled submission deadlines

    by Mike Itaya

  • Artwork + graphics

    by Verena Raban

PACT Interviews will continue as monthly Zoom events with Michele Knapp, McKenzie Watson-Fore, Michael Hahn, Shella Parcarey, and Therese Beale, technical guidance from Nadia Blejer Hahn, and also Melissa McKinstry, our PACT Ambassador.

The PACT Team remains steadfast in our mission to inspire, collaborate, and amplify the voices of Pacific University MFA’s alumni. With new content, fresh perspectives, and a passion for craft, we invite you to join us this season, and above all—keep writing.

End Transmission.

Dispatches exploring the liminal space of being Armenian—and not Armenian—while living in Los Angeles. About diaspora, cultural and the fucking weirdness of identity when you’re always both/and. Oh yes, there will be cursing.
